Tiger Attack at San Francisco Zoo

Tatiana, a 350 pound siberian tiger escaped her grotto at the San Francisco Zoo December 25, 2007, on Christmas Evening attacking the zoo's guests killing one. Two injured men ages 19 and 23 were taken into surgery for treatment for severe bites and deep claw scratches to their bodies. A third man who was attacked, died on scene not far from the escaped tigers very own grotto.
As officers arrived the tiger was tracked to the
Terrace Cafe restaurant inside the San Francisco Zoo. Soon after police found the tiger it became distracted by the police cars flashing lights. Officers took the opportunity as Tatiana the tiger advanced towards them to shoot the tiger down, killing it, but not before she could attacker her last victim once more.
This is not the first time the tiger has attacked someone at the San Francisco Zoo. Last year Tatiana attacked her keeper while being fed. Seems this tiger should not have been in captivity at all. After all it is a wild animal.

Zoo officials and authorities are unsure at the time how the tiger escaped. So far criminal activity is not ruled out to be the cause of the tigers escape.
